Putting It All Together
"In simple terms, our vision is to create a community inspired by the values and principles found in the life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and Imam W.D. Mohammed. This community will be built on justice, mutual care, and ethical principles that sustain not just the physical, but also the spiritual and social aspects of life. We envision a model where everyone lives in harmony, with access to lawful, ethical resources—whether that’s businesses, governance, or services—while fostering spiritual growth and collective responsibility. This community will be a place where everything from governance to the food we eat will be aligned with our shared values, all while ensuring that it’s sustainable for future generations."
The teachings
The life and actions of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) serve as the guiding example for the community. This includes his approach to governance, fairness, social justice, and spiritual leadership. Imam W.D. Mohammed’s teachings will offer contemporary guidance, helping apply Islamic principles to modern-day challenges and situations. This ensures that the community operates in a way that’s both historically rooted and relevant to today’s world.
Sustainable community life
Sustainability here refers to creating a self-sufficient community that can thrive in the long term. It’s not just about the environment, but about creating systems for food, education, health, and business that are enduring. This ensures that the community can meet its needs now and in the future without exploiting resources or relying on outside help.
Modeled After Madinah (City of Light)
Madinah, during the time of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), was a model city of peace, justice, and community cooperation. It was where Muslims lived in harmony, and where spiritual, social, and economic systems were built on Islamic values. Your community aims to replicate the success and peace of Madinah, where people supported one another, lived by ethical standards, and worked together for the common good.
An Environment Providing Halal Resources, Governance, Institutions, and Businesses
This community will ensure that all its resources, services, and businesses align with Islamic law (halal). This includes ensuring that businesses operate ethically, that governance is just and fair, and that institutions like schools, hospitals, and places of worship are all in line with Islamic teachings. The goal is to create a thriving environment where every aspect of life—education, health, commerce, and governance—is based on what is permissible and good in Islam, supporting both the individual and the community.
